Join the Co-op

We aren’t a traditional wine company... we’re owned by our growers.

The key difference between joining MGGC and being a contract grape grower, is that our growers are our shareholders. This means profits from trading are returned to our growers - not the balance sheet of external investors.

Joining the Cooperative is a smart business decision

You own your wine company - all growers have a shareholding in MGGC.

There is transparency in how your wine company is run.

Profits made by your wine company are returned to you (the grape grower).

The wine company is totally focused on your needs.

MGGC runs a sustainable, low-risk business model.

You get to vote for the Grower Directors and influence the direction of the company.

Other benefits

MGGC is New Zealand-owned and all profits benefit local grape growers and their community.

Every Owner, regardless of size, is treated fairly and equally.

Your feedback is listened to and acted upon.

You can access excellent technical and business support from the MGGC team.

You are part of a community of growers that socialises and shares - MGGC Owners have a wealth of experience and knowledge.

There is a strong MGGC constitution that protects the interests of the Owners.

You can participate in the life of the co-op in many ways and contribute your skills to the co-op's continued success.

MGGC was formed as a cooperative in 2012 and has strong business systems and customer relationships.
